Pampanga defeated Quezon Province, 83-60, on Friday in the fifth season of the OKBet-MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.
The struggle between Pampanga and Quezon highlighted Baltazar’s game, with Baltazar scoring 20 points with two triples and 16 rebounds, and their team wins pushed Pampanga’s ranking up to 20 wins after a loss in the elimination round of the 29th team
Looking at their previous game, the superstar Encho Serrano wasn’t able to play very well in the battle against Quezon Province. Due to his injury, he was able to play in the game for only 7 minutes, resulting in a scoreless tie.
Outstanding players from Pampanga were supported by MJ Garcia and Jayson Castro, who both earned 11 points for the team.
Allen Bryant Liwag and John Lloyd Clemente, who have nine points each, along with local Icon Archie Concepcion, who has eight points and five rebounds.
The Quezon Huskers, despite having a hard time coping with their defense and offense, still had a good fight over Pampanga, but unfortunately lost for the sixth time in 20 games, and only Alfrancis Tamsi’s 10 points were enough to keep them in the game.
