Caloocan defeated Paranaque 86-80 on Thursday at the Bacoor Strike Gym in the fifth season of the OKBet-MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League).
The closely fought match showcased the presence of mind and skill of both teams, leaving Batang Kankaloos’ sixth straight win and an 11-4 record in the single round-robin elimination phase of the 29-team tournament.
In the first half of the match between Paranaque Patriots and Caloocan Batang Kankalo, it was clear that Caloocan had the upper hand with a final score of 48-39.
Despite being the youngest, Jeramer Cabanag was named Best Player of the Game in this game after a 20-point, four-assist, three-steal performance. Pido contributed 12 points and three assists, and Joshua Gallano contributed 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. The next game for the Paranaque Patriots is on June 27, and they will be playing against the Gensan Warriors.
