BIO

Jean Marc Prado Pingris Jr., born on October 16, 1981, is a well-known Filipino professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Imus SV Squad of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He is regarded as an enduring figure in Philippine basketball history and has been named one of the Philippine Basketball Association’s 40 Greatest Players.

Pingris made an indelible mark on the international stage while representing the Philippines, helping the country win a silver medal at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship. This victory propelled the team to the 2014 FIBA World Cup finals. Pingris continues to give back to the sport as an assistant coach for the Philippine national team in addition to his contributions on the court.

In an unexpected turn of events, Pingris reversed his decision to retire from professional football in 2023. He officially signed with another MPBL team, this time partnering with the Imus SV Squad. Notably, he resigned from his previous position as commissioner of the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) to devote his full attention to his role with Imus.
