On November 13, 1981, Mark Reynan Mikesell Cardona was born. He is proud to be a Filipino professional basketball player. He showcases his abilities with the Imus SV Squad in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Cardona excelled in college with the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers. His abilities and hard work earned him the fifth overall pick in the 2005 PBA draft by the Air21 Express.
Cardona solidified his place as a basketball legend by playing professionally. He was named a PBA All-Star five times and won the PBA scoring title in 2008. He also won the 2008-09 PBA Philippine Cup championship and the prestigious Finals MVP award while playing for Talk ‘N Text.
On October 14, 2013, he made a pivotal trade that forever altered the course of his career. The Bolts traded Cardona to the Air21 Express in a deal that also included his old team, Talk ‘N Text. This move reunited him with his La Salle college coach, Franz Pumaren, and other people he knew from college.
