Ronnie Matias is now a 39-year-old Filipino professional basketball player playing in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Ronnie’s journey in MPBL is a roller coaster ride, as they called it. He played with teams such as the Manila Stars from 2019–2020, was a Mindoro Tamaraws member in 2021, and returned to the Manila Stars in 2022.
This year, in the 5th Season of MPBL 2023, Ronnie is playing with Caloocan Batang Kanlaloo.
Ronnie was born on November 29, 1963, in Tondo, Manila, where he spent most of his childhood. Now, he lives with his partner, Monique, and has six children. Given his schedule for his career, he still manages to balance everything, not to mention that he is also a devotee of the Black Nazarene.
