The Imus SV Squad is a professional basketball team headquartered in Imus, Cavite, that competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). It is one of six active teams based in the region of Calabarzon and one of two based in Cavite (the other being the Bacoor City Strikers). They first joined the league in 2018 under the name Imus Bandera, a reference to the fact that Imus is renowned as the “Flag Capital of the Philippines.”
As they joined the league in 2018, they began playing in the same year as one of the ten founding teams. Imus SV Squad has experienced losses and victories like other teams that have begun play. In 2021, they were invited to join the MPBL after the league recognized their potential after a 4-1 lead in Group D. However, the following season, they finished ninth in the Southern division, preventing them from qualifying for the playoffs. Now that the new season has begun, they must demonstrate their improved abilities and new strategies to win the fifth season of the MPBL.
Imus’s team consists of 22 rosters and is headed by Coach Jinino Manansala.
