The Parañaque Patriots is owned by OKADA Manila and is one of the most prominent professional basketball teams in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). It is one of 11 current teams based in Metro Manila and one of four in the Southern Manila District. This team consists of 23 all-time rosters having Eric Samson as their head coach from 2018 up until now. Olivarez College Gymnasium is where they play their home games.
As part of the 2018 MPBL season, this team was one of the ten original teams. As the seventh seed, Paranaque made the playoffs on January 25, 2018. They played the second-seeded Bulacan Kuyas in the quarterfinals and surprised everyone by beating them in three games. In the Semifinals, Paranaque won the first game against the Muntinlupa Cagers. However, they lost the next two games and were knocked out.
Aside from what they do on the court, the Paranaque Patriots MPBL team is very involved in the community. They host events, participate in outreach projects, and try to get young people interested in basketball. They show what it means to be a good athlete, to be disciplined, and to work hard.
The team is known for being very tough, which has helped it gain a lot of fans among basketball fans in the area. Like the other teams in the MPBL, the Paranaque Patriots play games during the regular season and in the playoffs to determine the league winner. In the past few years, the league has grown in fame, bringing in local basketball fans and good players.
The Paranaque Patriots have established themselves as a formidable force, consistently challenging their opponents with a blend of talent, teamwork, and strategic prowess. With a roster of talented players, each contributing unique strengths, the team showcases a well-rounded game that keeps fans on edge.
