The Quezon Huskers are a professional basketball team based in Lucena, and currently playing in the Maharilika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team is owned by the Provincial Government of Quezon, one of the six active teams based in Calabarzon.
In 2004-2005, Quezon was established as a United Regional Basketball League (URBL) member and was known as the Quezon Coco Huskers. The name was adopted to the city’s pride “Coconut Capital of the Philippines”.
They joined the MPBL just in 2023, making them the most recently expanded team to enter the league. The Quezon Junior Huskers will also field a Junior MPBL squad for the inaugural league season. Huskers consists of 27 members, headed by Coach Eric Gonzales starting in 2023. Fans may find the team at Quezon Convention Center, their home games.
