San Juan is one of the 11 Metro Manila-based Filipino Professional Basketball Teams that have joined the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball Team League (MPBL). The Knights’ passionate fan base supports them in their home games at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The San Juan team was recognized in the league’s second season in 1999, owned by former San Juan Mayor and Philippine Senator Jinggoy Estrada and businessman Sandy Javier. Knights of the Concepts of Gallantry and Bravery was the name given to San Juan.

The team played in many basketball leagues, including the Metropolitan Basketball Association, from 1999 to 2001, before joining the MPBL for the 2018-2019 season. They’ve also played in Filbasket and the Pilipinas Super League when they were known as the San Juan Kings and the Chooks to Go Pilipinas 3×3.

The San Juan Knights have been one of the most successful teams in the MPBL. They won the MPBL Datu Cup championship in 2018, their inaugural season in the league. Led by head coach Randy Alcantara, the Knights showcased strong teamwork and skilled players to achieve their championship victory. Aside from mentioned, they also won the MBA National Championship in 2000.

The team comprises 21 all-time rosters led by Coach Philip Cezar from 1999 to 2001 and later changed to Randy Alacntar as the head coach since 2018
