The Bataan Risers handed Iloilo United Royals their second consecutive loss, 89-77, on Tuesday at the Marikina Sports Center.
The United Royals were ahead 43-40 at halftime, but the Risers outscored them with quick shooting moves in the third quarter and established a 70-64 lead going into the final period of play.

Yves Sazon led the Risers in scoring with 21 points, including two three-pointers, in addition to four rebounds, two assists, and two steals, as the team improved its win-loss record to 11-12 and moved up to 12-12 overall in the 29th round-robin elimination standings.
Dominick Vera was honored as the game’s Most Valuable Player after earning 15 points and grabbing three rebounds for Bataan. Along with Vera, James Darwin Castro and Roldan Sara also helped Bataan with 15 points each.
The United Royals were led in scoring by Navarro’s 21 points, which included five three-point field goals. Joshua Flores ended with 15 points, and both JR Ongteco and Omar Larupay scored 10 points.
